Daily Philosophy Editions
"Daily Philosophy has quickly established itself as one of the most imaginatively themed philosophy web magazines. Readers will welcome and learn from this series of books of essays by the magazine's Editor on the theme of happiness. With clarity, erudition and wit, the author draws on philosophical wisdom - ancient and modern, Eastern and Western - to illuminate the nature of the authentically happy life." - David E. Cooper, Professor of Philosophy Emeritus, Durham University, UK
"A pleasure to read and enormously useful: Andy Matthias does a marvellous job applying the insights of the great philosophical classics to our everyday lives and making very clear suggestions what we can do to live better. Highly recommended!" - Michael Hauskeller, Professor of Philosophy and Head of the Philosophy Department at the University of Liverpool, UK.

Accented Philosophy Podcast
Since 2021, the Accented Philosophy podcast, hosted by philosophers Dr Ezechiel Thibaud and Dr Andreas Matthias, discusses the philosophical background of what happens in the news: the Ethics of the Olympics, Quietly Quitting Work, Beauty Discrimination, Deep Ecology and the protection of nature, and many other hot topics. We analyse the problems behind the hype and give listeners the tools to make sense of the world around us. From the same creators that teach these courses.
Welcome! I'm Dr Andreas Matthias.
I'm a philosophy professor at a Hong Kong university, teaching Philosophy of Happiness, Critical Thinking, Ethics, Philosophy of Love, History of Philosophy and the Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence.
With over 30 years of experience in teaching, not only in universities but also in lifelong education and evening classes, I know exactly how to make a topic easy to understand, interesting and fun.
In my own research, I specialise in robot ethics.
I am also the founder and editor of the web magazine Daily Philosophy, that has been publishing articles from both eminent scholars and young talents since 2017. With tens of thousands of readers each month, Daily Philosophy is one of the most relevant sites in philosophy education.
With these online courses, I want to help you profit from the timeless wisdom of philosophy in order to improve your life and make it more meaningful and reewarding.
